Turkey Neck Treatment in Bakersfield, CA
Loose neck skin also known as "Turkey Neck" form as we age and our skin loses it's elasticity and collagen. It is much more pronounced after weight loss, as the skin was stretched when we were overweight, then cannot retract afterwards.
This is different than a Double Chin, as a double chin still has a lot of fat content and so is treated differently.
The problem is there is just too much skin under the chin, so it hangs down just as it does in a turkey!
The treatment is not with Botox or Fillers. The extra skin has to be physically removed. If the problem is severe with a lot of extra skin, you will probably need Surgical Neck Lift.
If your turkey neck is not that severe yet, then the non surgical option is to use Opus Plasma to physically remove the extra skin. Each treatment can remove 10-20% of skin surface area with very little down time.

How many treatments are required for my Turkey Neck?
For Turkey Neck treatment, we do 3 treatments about 2 weeks apart, so you can be done in 1 month. Each treatment removes 10-20% skin surface area. We use the Glide tip for this treatment as we get the most ablative power to remove as much skin as possible with each treatment.
How long does each treatment take?
This will vary based on your personalized treatment plan recommended by your provider. For a full face resurfacing procedure we typically schedule an hour - this allows time for the application of topical anesthetic with the actual treatment taking about 15 minutes.
