Dermaplaning
What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a cosmetic procedure that removes dead skin cells and fine hair (“peach fuzz”) with an exfoliating blade. The blade is placed at a 45-degree angle and is slowly dragged across your skin to remove dead skin cells and other debris that may be causing your skin to look uneven and dull.
What are the Benefits of Dermaplaning?
Everyone has different results from dermaplaning and some may notice instant results after their session but the main benefits of this procedure include:
- Instant Glow
- No Downtime
- Better Product Penetration
- Great Exfoliation
- Helps Unclog Pores
- Smoother Make-Up Application
What should be expected during the procedure?
The provider will first clean your face of any make-up or excess oil/dirt. Then the provider will gently begin to scrape the top layer of the skin at a 45-degree angle with the dermaplaning tool to exfoliate the skin. The procedure will take about 20-30 minutes on average. After the procedure is done, the provider will apply a face mask and then remove it with a warm towel. The provider will finish your procedure off with a gentle and quick face massage and apply moisturizer and sunscreen to top off this relaxing experience and protect your face.
